Flights to Toulouse

The quicker you can book your flight, the cheaper it will probably be. If you live in the South East, then your best bet is probably Easyjet, which flies directly from Gatwick to Toulouse. But it's not necessarily cheaper than British Airways, which also flies direct from Gatwick.

There are no direct flights from Heathrow. But you can get loads of connections with Air France (Paris), Lufthansa (Frankfurt), KLM (Amsterdam) etc. Check out the normal travel websites like Expedia and Lastminute.

A cheaper option might be to fly with Ryanair. You can get daily flights from Stansted and East Midlands Airport to Carcassonne, which is about 90 minutes or so away from Toulouse. The tough bit is getting from one to another. There is a blog post on Trip Advisor about it and it doesn't sound too difficult. But it's probably for the more adventurous Lonely Planet readers out there.

And for the truly insane (Dan & Carmen), there is always the train journey all the way down through France. Take a Eurostar to Paris and then a flash bullet train down to Toulouse. You can buy the whole thing in one go on the very cool SNCF website. But they only take bookings three months in advance so you may have to wait a bit. Probably bank on about £150 return minimum. And the bad news? Reckon on about 10 hours. But suppose you could do it overnight...
